Rising star, Tom Oren is the celebrated winner of the 2018 Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz International Piano Competition. He was judged by a jury of piano giants: Herbie Hancock, Monty Alexander, Joanne Brackeen, Cyrus Chestnut, Jason Moran, Danilo Perez and Rene Rosnes.

As a pianist, an arranger and a composer, he has performed and recorded with a host of leading jazz musicians, most recently as a core member of the Eli Degibri Quartet.

Oren just released his debut album, “Dorly’s Songs” on Concord Records.

He attended Berklee College of Music on a full scholarship.

Global Arts & Music Venue | About

MISSION: Create an inspiring community of limitless possibilities to connect artists to their audience around the world through the technology available to us today.

Global Arts & Music Venue is an initiative by Lolivone de la Rosa, an up-and-coming guitarist, composer and producer.

In 2016, de la Rosa won a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music, in Boston; where she pursues a dual-major in Contemporary Writing & Production and Guitar Performance and was hired to produce 12 daily radio shows broadcasted through the Berklee Internet Radio Network (BIRN) Global.

De la Rosa has been under the tutelage of some of the world's finest performers and educators including Mick Goodrick, Peter Bernstein, Terri Lyne Carrington and George Garzone.

As a composer, de la Rosa has created works for jazz ensembles, big bands and orchestras. Deterioro, her most recent orchestral work, was recorded by the Budapest Art Orchestra in Hungary. De la Rosa recently released her first single Resilient Terrace as a bandleader.

De la Rosa holds a degree in Environmental Engineering (Cum Laude) from the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (‘17).
